...creepy story just in time for halloween...

The year was 2004. The Baker family was at grandma and grandpa's house visiting. At that time, the Baker family consisted of mom, dad, and two boys, Spencer, 2 and Tayten, 1 and a half. Everyone was in the family room hanging out, chatting, laughing, conversing, and what not. The boys were, of course, boys, and bored out of their minds, so they wandered off to find something to do.
A few minutes later, Tayten comes back in the room playing with a new toy he found. Nobody knew where he got the toy from, and nobody knew what kind of toy it was, for that matter. It looked to be a small stuffed animal. He was holding it close to his stomach and petting it. Tayt's mom then walked over to him to check out what he found and was playing with. She then realized that it was a mouse!!! A real, but poisoned by D-con, dead mouse!! She started smacking his hands to get him to drop it. The family room turned chaotic. All the girls were screaming and squirming, and all the boys were laughing, and Tayten was freaking out! He didn't understand why his mom was smacking his hands, and why she was yelling at him to put the "toy" down, and why everyone else was screaming and laughing. He finally dropped the "stuffed animal". Grandpa Chris came in and scooped the little furry creature up and took it out to dump it in the garbage.
Tayten's mom then scooped Tayten up and rushed him into the kitchen and staight to the sink. While washing his hands for approximately, oh, 4 hours, she tried to explain to him that his "toy" was a real mouse and that it was yucky and that's why we had to take it away from him. He finally understood that it was a real animal, but still didn't understand why we wouldn't let him play with it. Poor kid.
Well, the Baker family soon left grandma and grandpa's house and went home. Mom and dad put Spencer and Tayten in the shower, and then got them in their jammies. While mom was dressing Tayten, she noticed two tiny little green marks on his forearm. She thought he maybe found a marker and colored on himself. They then put the boys to bed and then went to bed themselves.
All of a sudden, mom and dad heard a scream coming from the boy's bedroom. They got out of bed and ran to the boy's room. Spencer was crying and mom tried to calm him down so that she could find out why. He finally calmed down and that's when mom noticed the wealt across his face. She frantically asked him what happened, and he told her that Tayten whipped him with his tail. She laughed and asked him if he had a nightmare. He told her no, it was real. Dad then went over to Tayten's bed and pulled back his covers. Sure enough, he had a tail!!! As a matter of fact, his entire body was covered in gray fur and he even had whiskers on his face. He woke up, squeaked and squealed loudly, and started whipping his tail around the room! Mom, dad, and Spencer screamed with horror and ran out of the room and out the front door!! Tayten chased them. He was fast. He caught up to Spencer first. Grabbed him by the neck and gobbled him up. He then caught up to mom, who put up a good fight, but eventually Tayten won that battle, too. Last was dad. When he caught up to him, dad turned around, told him that he was very dissappointed in the way he turned out, and then screamed like a girl. Tayten finished him off and was very full after all of that. He walked back home, all the while singing "a fair is a veritable smorgasbord orgasbord orgasbord after the crowds have ceased..."

The End

(fyi, half of that story is true)

...September... so busy!!!

SURPRISE!!! HAPPY BIG 3-0, Lanece!!!

Rainbow chip...mmmmLook at her face! SO surprised!! She had no idea!

This canyon is just after St. George. Anyone who has taken the drive knows where I'm talking about. Ok, well I LOVE driving through here. I have a Corolla type S and when you go 80-85 through this canyon, you totally feel like you're winning the race!!! It's fun... :)

Ok, so Tyler decided to have a big birthday bash for Lanece to welcome her into her 30's. It was a surprise, obviously, and he invited me along, so I grabbed my mom and Mikayla for the joy ride, too. Above is us on our trip down, having fun in the car, driving with our feet on the dashboard(yes, even me, the driver), kicking over drinks and turning windshield wipers on with heads. {swishwoosh, swishwoosh} We're lucky we made it there alive!! HAHA!
So I was able to arrange to be completely kidless for this weekend trip, and it was a blast!! It was my first time going to see my sis without any of my kids!! (thanks to the helpers with the boys!!)
Once we got there, we went to the movie theater where we yelled surprise from a party room, she was so surprised, even cried a little, had dinner, cake and ice cream, and then went and saw "All About Steve". Pretty weird, but funny movie. The rest of the weekend consisted of shopping, dining, doing hair, pedicures, and chick flicks. All fun, girlie things that I don't EVER get to do unless my sis is around. Which will be even less now, since she is moving to northern Cali. :(
Anyway, I hope you had as much fun as we did, sister, Happy 30!!!

Here is a list of the birthdays our family has in September.
3rd-Spencer, my boy, turned 9
12th-Oliver, nephew, turned 1
14th-Kade, my boy, turned 5
14th-Skyler, niece, turned 2
20th-Jonny, hubby, turned 29
22nd-Josh, brother, turned 27
27th-Lanece, sister, turned 30
Holy overload, right?? Well, we had a birthday party with family for Spencer and Kade. They had a ton of fun and we had lots of good things to eat!! And as you can see from the photos above, grandpa Bill's highlight of the night was shoving Spencer's cake in his face. Spencer was a good sport about it! Ethan was more sad about it than anyone!
One of Kade's favorite gifts was a new bike and one of Spencer's favorites was a new longboard.
One day, when I'm having a good mom day, I'll take pictures of them on their new toys. Until then...
Happy birthday EVERYONE!!! (literally)
The end for now! Whew!
